Platinum Pendants – Add The Special Spark to Your Life

When it comes to pendants, the world has discovered a new white metal that can be both a thing of beauty and great quality. Yes, we are talking about platinum – the shiny, silvery white metal that is sturdy, dense and quite strong. It is rarer than gold and found in only few selected locations on earth. It is said that for every ten gold mines, there is one of platinum mine. Platinum is quite commonly used to make finger rings and pendants.

Platinum is a pure metal and it is purer than gold. It is at least 90% or more pure while in gold only 50 – 70% is pure (this depends upon the carat). It is frequently used in making jewellery, especially diamond-studded rings and pendants. The lustre and dazzle of this metal makes it quite a favourite among women. And it is due to this lustre that the twinkle of the embedded diamonds in the pendants gets enhanced and spread.

For those with sensitive skin, platinum is hypoallergenic and, therefore, harmless. It can be worn on an everyday basis; in fact, it is great for everyday wear because it is strong, durable and never loses its shine. It does not depreciate in value or volume unlike other metals, and it is far better than any other metal when it comes to holding diamonds and other precious stones.

But when you choose platinum pendants, it is important for you to care for it to preserve its beauty. Platinum is prone to scratches. So, you should avoid wearing platinum while performing any rigorous activity. You can also clean it with mild soap water to keep it clean. A little care for your precious pendants would help the platinum stay good and with you for a really long time to come. The shine would last for a considerable period of time and it will continue to add brilliance to your existence.
