What Most People Are Unwilling To Do, And Fail Because Of It.
Almost every person on the face of the planet wants something more than they have right now. Unless they are dead, they long for a life that is full of happy, fulfilling relationships. They long for more money than they know what to do with. There are things that every single person on this planet wants that a very large majority of them will never get. The reason this is true is simple. They are not willing to do what it takes to get those things. They absolutely refuse to become the person it takes to do those things. If you are to live the life of your dreams, you must know what that life is, and then become the kind of person who lives that life.
You see, creating the kind of life you want to live has nothing to do with creating that life. It has to do with becoming the kind of person that lives that kind of life. A professional football player doesn't spend his days swinging a bat around studying rbi's and striking methods for hitting a home run. A professional football player spends his day running line drills. Practicing plays that have been put together to make the team work as one unit. He spends his time thinking about the game just ahead of him and the performance he expects to give during that game. He spends hours in the gym each day working out to stay in shape so he can perform at peak performance. He can't get to the top of his game sitting around eating pizza playing video games wishing he could play pro ball.
The biggest reason that most people never realize anything other than where they are is simply because they will not become the person it takes to have those things. The kind of person who does those things. Most people want to stay the kind of person they are right now and only hope and wish for what they want. It simply does not work that way. I have met tons of people who want tons of money. They want to be financially free. I say great, go home and read this book and that book. After you finish this list of books, decide how you plan incorporating that knowledge into your daily life as well as exactly what you intend to give to the world to make that money. After you know what you plan on doing to make that money, call this company and give them a couple hundred dollars a month to help you build your business. Then we can get started on becoming filthy rich. Nine times out of ten I get a look as though I am crazy or have two heads.
People who are wealthy spend years learning what wealthy people know. They practice thinking like wealthy people think. They spend time around people who think and act that way. They practice acting like wealthy people act. They make decisions like wealthy people make decisions. They work like wealthy people work to build their wealth. They dress like wealthy people dress. They read what wealthy people read. You get the picture? You can't just hope for what you want, do a little bit here and there, stay the person you are, and expect to get what you want. You must put yourself into alignment with what you want, and to do that means to become the kind of person who already has what it is you want. If you stay the person you are right now, you will only continue to get what you have. It works every time without fail.
Far to many people want to stay where they are yet want to get some place else. Imagine laying on your back staring at the sky and wanting to travel to some place 3000 miles away. You can't do it without first standing up and beginning to walk to at least your car. If you stay laying on your back, you will do nothing more than see the sky. Of course, you can always just continue to hope for what you want and stay disappointed when you don't get it. I much prefer the option of doing what it takes. Of course it isn't an easy path. If it was everyone would do it. Everyone would have everything their heart desires. But it isn't an easy path at all. It takes constant work and effort. Until you have it as a part of you any way. The beautiful part of the process is that once you develop those traits within yourself, they are yours forever. It becomes much easier to develop yourself into the kind of person who gets what they want because they are the kind of person who does that thing or has that stuff.
Millionaires are not millionaires because they worked harder. Of course they worked hard to get to where they are, but it was much more than just working hard. It was what they worked hard on. What they thought about while working on those things. What they focused on while creating that wealth. It was completely in the kind of person they were when they started and the type of person they became during the journey. You simply cannot stay the kind of person you are right now and expect different results. It doesn't work. You wouldn't break a glass and try to put it back together by slamming it on the floor again. You would only break the glass more. you must take a different approach by glueing the glass back together. The same is true for you. This is not to say that you are a bad person. I am not saying that at all. What I am saying though is that to get different results in your life you must do different things than you are right now. Approach if from a different angle than you do right now. Be the kind of person who gets those results.
