Yes, believe it or not, adipose tissue(well, we're really talking fat here), gets in the way of your body being able to regulate it's temperature. And our body regulates it's temperature through sweating. So anything that gets in the way of this process isn't a good thing. Losing some weight can have a drastic effect on how much you sweat, especially if you happen to be a bit overweight.
