Car Insurance Cheaper in Low Crime Areas
A recent study has found that car insurance could be a lot cheaper in areas with low crime rate figures than in areas with higher rates.
The study found evidence that those in the south-west of the country pay about £569 a year, whereas those in Scotland pay around £580 on their car insurance annually.
Experts say that people pay higher amounts when they live in areas with high crime rates, however; it is possible for those people to find cheap car insurance by shopping around on the internet and comparing prices. This will enable those who are being charged more due to the areas they live in to significantly cut their car insurance premiums and find much better deals.
In the US it has been found that car insurance companies are doing their best to stir up business with young drivers in an attempt to boost business. This is because young drivers, especially males, are considered high risk drivers and as a result have had to pay a lot more for their insurance.
However, increased competition has meant that this is starting to change. Many companies are starting to overlook the risk that young motorists are meant to cause and are starting to sign them up for policies without as much hassle and, perhaps as a result of this, young drivers are starting to shake off their image as dangerous drivers. This means that they will find it a lot easier to find better car insurance deals than they were being offered a couple of months ago.
