Making False Promises
Even, if you are going to make a true promise, it will appear to be a false promise in the eyes of your ex. If you just start going behind your ex and make promises that you will change for sure and ask them for a last chance. Forget it, you are never going to get a chance, it will directly communicate to your ex, that you are still just talking and trying to convince him/her but have not taken any considerable action towards changing yourself.
