Holidays to Menorca- visit a fantastic Island
Situated on the Balearic Islands on the Mediterranean Sea, Menorca has fantastic weather and fascinating culture to accompany it. Menorca is very popular amongst tourists as there are many low cost airlines that fly there and as such the area has many activities to suit all types of tourist.
Menorca is one of the smaller Spanish islands but despite its size, the island has more beaches than Majorca and Ibiza so there are plenty of places for someone to kick back and relax and enjoy the great Menorcan weather. One of the attractions is the harbour in Mahon, the capital; it is the second largest in the world (the largest being Pearl Harbour) and can see some of the last remaining turtles as well as birds and other protected species.

The third place to visit is the Plaza Alfons III which is home to some of the nicest restaurants and cafes in Menorca where you can experience the cuisine of the island. Fish and seafood are most famous dishes and you will be pushed to find fresher and tastier fish. The final place is for those who fancy a taste of the islands stronger drinks! The Gin Distillery is a tasty place to visit. Menorca’s gin is distinctive in taste and varies widely from the gin you would have tasted before.
