The south Brevard Corps of Salvation Army will be distributing the funds offered by United way to the victims of 2008 fire response. There is an appointment to be taken in regard to apply for funding. Without this appointment, no person will be allowed.
There offered their guidelines. The primary guidelines are for those who have totally lost their homes and secondary for those who have made small losses.
Primary guidelines
• Each victim will get a help of maximum $2,500.
• Couples with dependent children will get the additional help of maximum $500 per dependent,
• The claim can be applied by both renter and homeowner.
• The proof of residency is must to be submitted. Residential proof should be of Grant Valkaria, Palm Bay or Malabar as they were damaged badly.
• Applicant should mention the use of assistance. Let it be temporary shelter or hotel, deposit or rent, furniture or domestic items etc.
• Social security number and driving license shall be shown.
Secondary guidelines
• Households will get the maximum help of $250 -$500.
• It can be applied by both landowner and renter.
• Applicants need to provide a proof of residency at Palm Bay, Grant Valkaria or Malabar.
• Financial hardship due to fire is to be applied.
• The use of assistance is to convey clearly.
• Secondary assistance would be provided by Salvation Army.
All the applications accepted by the corps will be submitted to fire response fund committee and that would get approval within 30 days.
