Not long ago, there is only one distinction for being a man, he has to be a manly man. Decades ago, men are supposed to be overflowing with machismo, guys in that era are known to declare his love for rowdy and prominent trucks, and society does not expect him to do any household chores.
But as the world has evolved, time has brandished a new set of rules, there now exists a different breed of men. Gone are the days that men are generally considered as filthy and careless creatures, there now exist a cleaner, vainer and more fashion forward type of guys.
It seems that rules are slowly bending, as people try to dismantle social norms in which typical household chores can be interchanged with a guy, and the traditional notion of a housewife can be altered with the whole new notion of a husband taking over child rearing duties.
With this thought, it comes as no surprise that when the Society of American florists conducted a research among the perception of men to flowers, they found out that 60% of guys would love to receive flowers as a gift on special occasions.
So why not add flower bouquets to the list of gift ideas when a special day comes around.
Pick the right kind of flowers
Of course, one can't go wrong with the vivid blooms of red roses but if it's a bouquet meant for your special guy, you might want to pick something more fitting for him. Try scoping out your local flower shop and purchase bright and neutral flowers.
A great example of these flowers are tulips and lilies, any flower type that is distinctly solid and male-friendly.
It's always best to avoid the gaudy and feminine frills
Try not to scare off your guy by sending him a bouquet that is filled with feminine touch and bounce. Pick an arrangement that is simple yet meaningful, you can even add a dash of personality on your bouquet by adding his favorite things on the flower bouquet.
Personalize your bouquet by adding elements of sports or triviality when you're arranging your chosen flowers.
Know when to give your special bouquets
The best time to give out your flower bouquets to your guy might be the same time that he gifted you with flower bouquets too. Your anniversary, Valentine's day, or a huge positive change in his life are the perfect time to give your man his special bouquet of flowers.
