Article:
Decorating your home for halloween has changed drastically over
the past several years. When I was young decorating your home
meant a few cardboard cut-outs taped to your windows and doors,
a few well placed candles, and a jack - o - lantern on the front
porch.

But the halloween industry has changed over the years and it is
now possible to do elaborate decorating with high quality props
and effects without breaking your budget.

Your decorating project could be for a halloween party, social
function, or just to scare the many kiddies that come to your
home. In this article I am going to cover a few decorating ideas
that can make your home or event become a first class halloween
event.

First thing you need to think of is a theme, no longer can "
Halloween " be considered a theme. You can have the mad
laboratory, haunted graveyard, or a scene from your favorite
horror movie. Whatever your theme the tips below can ensure
guests and visitors never forget the " halloween experience "
you have provided.

WALLS - Once you get your basic theme or idea your walls should
be your first consideration. Black plastic is no longer the only
option. Most online halloween stores, party stores, and discount
stores including
our party store
carry a product known as " scene setters ".
These products made of a thin plastic come in different lengths
and can be combined for a frighting backdrop to your home or
event.

Most of the same places including our party store and our Halloween Marketplace
carry a horror cloth which is basically cheese cloth which has
been painted black and torn for a great spooky event.

PROPS: To add to the spooky effect there are many high quality
props available at our party store or our Halloween Marketplace
and they come in a variety of prices most for under $ 100.00

SMOKE MACHINES / LIGHTING Over the years smoke machines, strobe
lights, and other lighting effects have come down in price.
Smoke machines add a great spooky effect. Add some strobe lights
and you have the perfect special effects for a great halloween.

In conclusion you can be very creative when decorating for
halloween, with very little effort, and within any budget. Add
in the fact that most decorations can now be used year after
year your halloween experience can grow into a frightning
experience that is fun for all.
