There are various methods to learn to speak Chinese. Which methods you should apply depends on your goals.
Whether your goal is just to learn the fundamental words and sentences, or you want to learn more and want to be
able to carry out a conversation, you should follow these tips on how to learn to speak Chinese:
1. If you're in high-school or college make sure to take Chinese lessons, they are free and they are conducted by a
trained lecturer with whom you may discuss any questions and problems that you have.This is a great way to learn to
speak Chinese because you have the ability to communicate with the lecturer.
2. Watch Video lessons on the internet. Search youtube for Chinese lessons, you will be able to find plenty of
entertaining Chinese lessons. The ability to visualise the person that is giving the lecture gives the video lessons
and edge over audio lessons.
3. Find a friend that speaks Chinese fluently and try to communicate with him/her in Chinese as much as possible.
Tell him/her to correct you when you make a mistake. Try to talk in Chinese as much as possible, don't be afraid of
making a mistake or not being able to understand what the person with whom you're talking will reply.Be confident,
making mistakes is a part of the process when trying to learn any language.If you're not in an environment where
there are Chinese speakers, find an online friend that is a native Chinese speaker. You can easily find a pen buddy
on Myspace or similar sites.
4. Get a complete complete Chinese learning course. There are many courses that claim to teach you how to learn to
speak Chinese, but most of them are too expensive, and don't bring the results that they promise. I'm stating this
from personal experience, in my efforts to learn Chinese I ended up spending a lot of money on various courses.I
