Warm Market And MLM Training
Although today many ways exist for someone to advertise and promote his multilevel marketing business both offline and online, the warm market concept still holds its ground. In fact the majority of the companies still teach it and many distributors that used it successfully for years pass it to those they sponsor.
But the big problem is that it doesn't work for the majority that prospecting method. People don't like to try to recruit and sell to friends and relatives that have no interest to their product or opportunity. Wat's worse is that the people they know hate it even more when someone of their friends try to approach them for that reason. And if the people that you try to convince react to that practice so negative how on earth are you supposed to recruit them or sell to them?
Exactly, you can't and your chances to succeed in that game are dim unless you develop a thick skin in the process and “burn”your warm market by pushing everyone either to join your network marketing opportunity or stop talking to you. Of course nobody wants to do that but a few who insist on such practices and bring a bad name to the MLM industry. For the majority is just the road that leads to quit.
But why multi level marketing companies still insist on such training?
Well, the problem is that it did bring results to some people in the past and in a peculiar way worked at that time in the distant past. At a time that people wasn't under the continuous bombardment of advertising messages and very few have been exposed to the concept of network marketing.
Of course, that kind of MLM prospecting still works for a few and makes them very successful, that is true, but is not the most efficient way to build a business. Their cases are rather the exception than the rule.
Armed with such success stories in multilevel marketing, companies and distributors in their downlines are showcasing them as examples and encourage others to follow their example and methods. Of course as more and more people would start to succeed using non-traditional MLM techniques new heroes would take their place but it would take quite some time before they get accepted.
