Fashion in the public eye...
Celebrities - what do they know? But it's not their fault that sometimes their fashion sense seems lacking. There's too much influence from the outside - stylists and designers go hand in hand with songwriters and choreographers, but is it always a necessity to have somebody decide what you wear? Some celebrity fashion is extreme; extrovert clothing styles and mad hair do's. Others choose to dress simply casual but smart. Others endorse specific brands and others even carry their own clothing lines. A good example of brand endorsement is Pete Doherty (ex Libertines frontman). During the time he's spent brushing with the law and taking drugs, he's been an avid follower of the popular designer clothing brand Gio Goi. While this may not at first impress the minds behind Gio Goi, they will undoubtably be happy to know that this influence has helped bring their brand into the public eye. Now everybody from indie bands to brickies are wearing Gio Goi clothes. It's part of marketing, and the marketability of a celebrity. It's nice to think that maybe people endorse brands for the love of it, and not the monetry return, but this unfortunately is often not the case. Most celebrities will always rely on stylists to make them look good, but I personally endorse the creative individuals that choose for themselves. After all, excluding models and such like, fashion style is a bi-product of fame, generally put behind the celebrities initial talent (i.e. singing, dancing etc). Like it or loathe it - fashion is an integral part of any celebrities lifestyle!
