Get Double the Fun with Universal
When you book a holiday to Florida you are guaranteed to have a great time, whatever you enjoy doing. But the name Universal is as synonymous with the area as the Everglades are, and regardless of whatever else you plan to do while you’re there, don’t miss out on a visit to Universal Studios or the Islands of Adventure.
If stomach churning rides are your kind of thing then you’ll want to pre-book your tickets to get into the Islands of Adventure theme park, where roller coasters and life size dinosaurs are waiting to give you some thrills you’ll never forget.
One of the best parts about the Islands of Adventure is that many of the rides are based around your favourite characters from Universal films, such as Spiderman, Dr Seuss’ Cat in the Hat and Sinbad. It is this combination of thrills and familiarity which makes the park a must see on any holiday to Florida.
But you should also make room for Universal Studios because it features many famous characters from the world of movies right up close. One of the most popular rides is the Simpsons Ride, featuring America’s favourite family as they visit a theme park in Springfield owned by a very famous clown called Krusty.
Shrek 4-D is another attraction that never fails to pull in big crowds, which is why so many people like to pre-book tickets so they don’t have to queue to get in the park. While you won’t be able to avoid all the queues, planning your route around the park can help to maximise your visit so you miss peak times and make the most of the quieter times at the beginning and the end of the day.
Some of the most famous rides, such as the Jaws experience in Amity, naturally attract the biggest crowds – but they also give you the biggest thrills and it’s always worth the wait. The same applies to the Disaster ride, which will hopefully be the closest you will ever get to being caught up in the effects created by an earthquake measuring eight on the Richter scale.
Universal Orlando Holidays are regarded by many to be the holiday of a lifetime, purely because there is so much to do during even a two week stay. The great thing is that both of these parks feature plenty of rides and attractions that will appeal to the kids as well as the adults, making it an ideal destination for a family holiday.
The more you can find out in advance about where to go and what to do when you get there, the quicker you’ll be able to start enjoying all that this area of Florida has to offer.
