Artisan Handmade Tapestries - Good "Old Fashion" Works of Art
A tapestry is an ancient form of artwork that is made up of threads, woven on a loom to create many different designs, patterns and images. Traditionally, these works of art were hand-woven and hand-crafted. However, with the passing of time and with the development of new, technologically-advanced and progressive instruments that cut the production time in half or more, a lot of these decorative items have begun to be produced more and more by machines and mechanical devices rather than by human hands.

The skilled hands of cottage industry workers and craftsmen in rural areas of South Asia and South America make use of local materials, as well as natural fibers of only the finest quality to produce these magnificent pieces.
