Last minute holiday deals arent really a deal.
After travelled to Majorca, I believe there are one or two things to ponder about prior to heading off. I know that bargain flight appeared to be a really good idea but when your going through thermals in a little passenger plane where when you stretch the people in ahead of you and behind you groan I think its worth thinking again. The whole reason of going on holiday is attempting to chill out but as soon as you try to cut corners you start to pile on the stress.
I digress, back to the trip, we landed in Majorca and get hit by the in rush of heat that comes smacking into the plane like a wall, and come to realise just how quickly you can get over-heated by walking at night when not acclimatised. As we watched the other passengers ferry through the departure lounge and onto their respective buses, we realised that a hire car when you don’t know, where you are headed isnt necesarrily the best idea. Two hours later we are still driving around roads that appear to be all back to front and beginning to regret getting on a plane.
We finally reach what in the brochure seemed like, it must be a lovely hotel by the description and star rating and find it is an old multi storie with one lift and one fire route eg. The main stairs (a smoke funnel if ever I saw one in the case of a fire). Making our way up to our room past a supervisor that we attempted to communicate with we risked the elevator with our luggage (as at this point we were fairly cream crackered) and made our way to our room.
The room was a small affair, with its own mini vault, and what appeared like central heating, as all we could do that night was lie there and sweat. And this was at the beginning of the holiday.
