Paris; a once in a lifetime experience...

One of the favorite city destinations in Western Europe noted for its romantic appeal is Paris; it sits on the banks of the river Seine and is also known as the City of Lights. Many couples decide to take short stay in Paris as it is probably the most romantic city in the world; with a great deal to see and do that to really a week is needed. A city famous for its fabulous architecture, good food, wine, street markets and galleries; plus sights like the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and many other places that are havens for tourists, both home grown and international. Traveling through the city of Paris can be very enjoyable; the Metro underground train network will probably be the main method as it runs regularly and reaches every part of the city. It wouldn't be possible to visit this city without a trip to the top of the famous steel structure known as the Eiffel Tower; it can be seen throughout most locations around the city. Illuminated in the evening, it is one of the most beautiful sights in the entire city; guided tours add to the thrill as you get to peek into history on how it was constructed. The famous Paris Avenue ‘the Champs Elysees' must also receive a visit; it will present you with many famous designer shops and good restaurants. This avenue may be select but it attracts large numbers of visitors daily; top class hotels are found here, although if you want to stay at a more reasonably priced hotel, they are available outside of the city center. If you are an art lover you will enjoy the Louvre, a truly amazing museum; with over 300,000 wonderful artistic works, you simply cannot see all of it in one day. Visitors on short stays in Paris could easily be overwhelmed; some of the world's most important art collections including the infamous Mona Lisa are on display. Many well known artists spent years of their lives in Paris; chances are that you will have the opportunity to see a number of famous paintings whilst you're visiting. Paris is also the home of the equally famous Arc de Triomphe which Napoleon had constructed in the early part of the 19th century; to honor his generals (and his troops) he had their names inscribed upon it. It also features an observatory to take in surrounding views; including all the avenues of which it is a focal point. Obviously, these are not the only places to visit; and whilst there are many more worthy examples, those listed here should not be missed. A Paris Short stay vacation should only ever be considered a sample of what the city can offer; the likes of medieval churches, buildings and castles, which it has in abundance, will have to wait until another time.Experience Paris, even if its only for a short stay...
