Emotional IQ

Most men and women have the necessary physical skills to achieve success, but a lot do not possess the necessary emotional or cognitive skills. When a person's self esteem increases their emotional IQ or EQ and willingness to make life changes also increases.

Cognitive Restructuring has the ability to assist people suffering from the following issues: * Phobias * Childhood abuse * Anxiety * Lack of goals * Loneliness * Lack of ambition * Broken relationships * Despair * Lack of hope * Fear * Illness * Decision making * Worry * Self betrayal * Depression * Coping * Hate/vengeance * Stress * Rejection * Self control *Anger * Self esteem * Prison/Jail * Divorce * Lack of empathy * Suicide * Co dependency * Drug addiction * Peer pressure * Failing grades *Alcohol addiction * Delinquency * Eating disorders

The first and most vital step to overcoming these issues and the highest hurdle to self improvement is self deception. Individuals who live in the box of self-deception constantly blame those around them for their problems. People fail to realize the most difficult problem they have to overcome in life is the battle with themselves. If you are unhappy and unsuccessful Are you the one to blame? The following six steps are a must for self-improvement. There are no shortcuts and the steps must be accomplished in order. The most effective tool to aid individuals in leaving the old destructive behaviors behind is Manualized Cognitive Restructuring . This is capable of helping men and women conquer thinking errors and behaviors.

One of the psychological differences between humans and animals is that humans have the ability to be self aware. That is, they can step back from themselves, see and accept their faults and shortcomings. With self awareness humans can become better and change their lives. Improving habits, thoughts, values, attitudes and behavior isn't easy. For example, if you desire to transform a hardened criminal into an upright citizen the change would have to come from within the criminal. Criminals would have to accept responsibility for their behavior. If they won't accept responsibility they can never change. To be successful with criminals, you must first make them self-aware. This process is referred to as reality therapy. You cannot force people to change but you can force them to be self-aware. Self-awareness is the first step in changing criminal offenders into good citizens. Observe the following steps to make a complete change in your life. You can't take any shortcuts.

Step #1- AWARENESS Self-awareness is the first step in becoming better. You have to accept your shortcomings. Change will not come if you fail to become self-aware.

Step #2- DESIRE If you don't desire to change, you will not ever do it. You have agency and, therefore, can't be forced. It is completely up to you; it is your choice. No desire=no change.

Step #3- ATTITUDE If you are aware of your shortcomings and desire to become better you will automatically elevate your attitude. It is your own choice.

Step #4- SKILL Although they are vital, self-awareness, desire and a positive attitude are not quite enough; developing the skills and knowledge of how to change is also imperative.

Step #5- BEHAVIOR Perfect steps one through four and you're prepared physically to do what's necessary. Do it for ninety days and they'll be a habit. Do it for one year and they will become part of you.

Step #6- SUBCONCIOUS As soon as you form a habit, it becomes automatic. You don't have to think about it; you've changed. Congratulations!

Keep doing what you've always done and you'll keep getting what you've always gotten. If you desire to change what you have been getting, you have to change what you've been doing in the past. The primary step in changing bad habits is to overcome denial, bad scripting and faulty thinking... The only way to achieve this is through following the above 6 steps.
